[ About
Russell Ingram - Ingram Photography
I started shooting when I was a teenager. A rangefinder camera my dad let me use and Tri-X
35mm black and white.
I like to watch things happen. To watch moments happen and try to render them, whether
as a result of art direction or just shooting to get some of those really special moments, they
happen all the time, all around us. And sometimes to recreate a moment as realisitcally and
believably as possible through production.
I was very fortunate in my training to have worked with so many different talents and disciplines.
To have seen situations and problems approached and solved in so many different ways. And the
technical range of the talented photographers I worked with was remarkable. Many are still my
good friends.
I have also been very fortunate in my client roster over the years. They’ve given me an amazing
list of varied, interesting, challenging and fun projects.
I love the control of studio work and lighting, but also the intense production of a complex location
shoot and I love the chaos of run-n-gun editorial style. I just enjoy shooting. I enjoy meeting and
working with people and shooting with them. Seeing
new things and people and places never gets old.
I suppose what I really enjoy is working with light and
people and space just to see what we can create.
